The NetFort Email Monitor is a newly developed email monitoring feature designed to enhance the powerful capabilities of the NetFort LANGuardian as a network and user monitoring tool.

The Email Monitor works by decoding incoming and outgoing SMTP traffic to and from your organisation to extract the following information from email headers - sender, recipient and subject.  The option to drill down for further detail is present in the Email Monitor reports and it provides you with a more detailed summary of email transactions including source and destination IP address and time and date of event.

Identify spam email and avoid the Email blacklist

With the Email Monitor,  you can quickly identify and be alerted to spam leaving your network allowing you to react quickly to prevent your corporate IP address from being blacklisted. The Email Monitor also enables you to  measure effectiveness of spam filter rules already in place.

The module allows you to automate the monitoring process by scheduling email summary reports or generating them on an ad hoc basis.
